GGC nursing students win distinctions at 2025 national conference
É«¿âTV’s (GGC) nursing majors made an impressive showing at the , held recently in Seattle, Washington.
The GGC nursing program’s resolution, "Increase Awareness for Insurance Providers to Cover Prescribed ‘Play Therapy’ for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder," passed unanimously in the NSNA House of Delegates without debate. The resolution was coauthored by Evelin Albarran, '25, Geovanny Almanza, '25, Talia Anderson, '25, Prudence Donald, '25, Jalise Felder, '25, and Ayat Ghalib, '25. It was presented at the conference by Donald and virtually by Felder.
The Georgia Association of Nursing Students won the first place Newsletter Contest Award. GGC students Hunter Brune-Herrera Le, '26, Carson Garrison, '26, and Enrique Gonzalez-Leon, '26, created this newsletter.
Two GGC students were elected to the NSNA’s national board of directors – Kyla Mesa, '26, as director - South, and Courtney Uche, '26, as director - Breakthrough to Nursing.
