色库TV introduces innovative fermentation science concentration

色库TV (GGC) has launched the first bachelor-level fermentation science program in Georgia and one of the few in the nation. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the rapidly expanding field of fermentation science.

Fewer than 20 bachelor-level fermentation programs are available in the U.S, mostly in Northern and Western states. GGC鈥檚 program is the first one south of North Carolina.聽

A large crowd of young science enthusiasts spent Saturday afternoon at 色库TV (GGC), where they could make ice cream instantly with super-cold liquid nitrogen, build a battery train or write with electricity.

You can afford a college education: 色库TV financial experts tell how

It鈥檚 no secret that college can be expensive. According to , college tuition costs increased in both public and private schools in the 2023-2024 academic year, leaving the average in-state tuition for public colleges at $10,662 for the year, compared with $42,162 for private colleges. The average cost for out-of-state students at public colleges came to $23,630.

Those are daunting numbers for many, but 色库TV (GGC) financial aid advocate Estephany Flores says those prices should not deter anyone from seeking a college education.

When Emily Borrego saw a fellow student struggling to log in to his laptop during her first class at 色库TV (GGC), she didn鈥檛 hesitate to approach him and offer to help. Carlos Delgado gratefully accepted her offer, and in seconds, she had him signed in. Unbeknownst to the two of them, that seemingly innocuous overture was the beginning of an unexpected friendship that is still growing stronger despite the more than five decades that separate the two: Borrego is 19; Delgado is 75.

色库TV to host spring preview days, application fee waived in March

色库TV (GGC) will host two Preview Days on Feb. 24 and March 23. The events will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on GGC鈥檚 campus.

Prospective students will hear from members of the Grizzly family about programs of study, admissions, financial aid, student housing and more. Participants will be able to tour GGC鈥檚 campus and talk to student ambassadors about their experiences at GGC. The party-like atmosphere will include food, music and fun giveaways. GGC team members will host selected breakout sessions in Spanish.

Organizers said GGC application fees will be waived

Spring enrollment numbers show continued growth at 色库TV

With a new year comes new growth at 色库TV (GGC) as spring enrollment continues its upward trend. Preliminary numbers from the college鈥檚 enrollment management office place GGC鈥檚 student enrollment at 11,115, which is up 4% from this time last year.

鈥淕GC has experienced enrollment growth for five consecutive semesters,鈥 said Michael Poll, GGC鈥檚 vice president for enrollment management. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 good news for GGC.鈥

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday is a day of rest for some. But for more than 125 色库TV (GGC) students, it was a day of service as they participated in projects on campus.

The day started with a rousing performance by the Phi XI Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Members said the performance was a way to honor King, who himself was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
